Karen State and KNU controlled areas are rich in natural resources. Karen and local people who inhabit Karen State must have the rights to extract, use and develop our natural resources within Karen State. Extraction of natural resources is the long-term project which need enormous investment. As the projects need both human resources and high technology, in future these will create job opportunities and solve unemployment issues. At the same time, it is important to sustain and protect this inheritance from our ancestors for future generations.
