Mission Statement
We will make every effort to strengthen the political struggle of all Karen people, and exalt their political aspirations for a homeland of Peace and Prosperity, which they and future generations will enjoy dwelling in and building so that it will become a land without evil.

Objectives
The KNU Foreign Affairs Department will endeavour to promote collaboration with national and international democratic entities to achieve mutual support for political, social and economic development. It will build constructive engagement with national and international diplomatic communities to gain their support for the Karen people’s call for national political equality and self-determination, as well as for democracy and for the building of a genuine Federal Union of Burma (Myanmar).

The KNU Foreign Affairs Department will engage and cooperate with diverse Karen communities around the world, to seek their support and initiatives for national welfare and development. It will also seek opportunities to collaborate with national and international think tanks and professionals to build the capacity and expertise of Karen national leaders.
